Bashing the national press is not new in the United States. But it has reached a painful point in our divided nation. Believers – people of all faiths – must understand why truth is essential to a functional democracy. Professional journalists have a valued role to play in holding our leadership accountable.
Alice Rhee is an Emmy award-winning television producer and multimedia journalist. At present, she is Editorial Director of Folo Media, an affiliate of the H.E. Butt Family Foundation. She is also program advisor for the Tribeca Film Institute working on the If/Then Short Documentary initiative. Most recently, she was Senior Producer for Washington Post’s digital video enterprise, covering breaking news and special events for NBC News and MSNBC. While in New York with NBC, Rhee worked closely with Brian Williams on National Political Projects, and Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell on global news coverage.
